ABOUT US

Woodstar CafĂ© is a family-owned bakery, sandwich shop and full-service espresso bar located in downtown Northampton, MA. We bake from scratch using traditional techniques and pure ingredients. No preservatives. No trans-fats. And if we can go local and organic, boy, do we ever, including an ever-increasing quantity of free-range eggs, fruits, berries, and vegetables from our own nearby farm.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

PART-TIME BAKER

The Woodstar Cafe is seeking an early morning baker for approximately 20 hours per week. Duties include, but are not limited to, baking muffins, scones, cookies, croissants, bread pudding, prepping all of the above, cleaning, and stocking all at a quick pace. The shifts are: Sundays 4:45 am -2:30 pm and Mondays 3:45 am - 1:30 pm. Alternately, we can offer a Sundays-only schedule. Candidates should be comfortable lifting 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. This is a physically demanding job in a high volume, high-end, scratch bakery. Applicants should be able to taste and work with most ingredients typical to a full service bakery. Reliable, year-round transportation is a must as is a minimum of 6 months professional baking experience.
