Our Mission

To increase joy through pure, handmade foods and kind service.

Our Values:

Pride The work we do is a reflection of ourselves. Working from a place of pride, we show how much we care about our customers, coworkers and community.

Integrity At Woodstar integrity is a scratch-made bagel, shaped by hand. Integrity is good, clean, real food. Integrity is full time jobs with benefits. Integrity is being true to our words. Where integrity is a habit, excellence follows.

Sustainability 100% of our electricity comes from renewable energy. We source locally and organically whenever possible. We use compostable packaging and we compost. We do not use genetically modified foods.

Human Scale Handmade products create jobs, support the vibrancy of the local economy, and preserve a tradition of skilled work. We invest in people, not machines.

A World with Gentleness at its Center We believe in a humble, inclusive, open-hearted approach to being in business and in the world. We act knowing our well-being and liberation is tied to the well-being and liberation of all peoples. We work to create a world that values the diversity, mystery and dignity of its inhabitants, and protects the bounty of our mother earth for generations to come.

Our Vision - We work towards a future where:

  • Locally sourced, chemical-free food is the norm.

  • All people have access to it.

  • And those who grow and prepare it are able to prosper.
